3 STEPS AHEAD Early Learning Program by Educational Insights. Dating from 1982, this kit will provide your child with the necessary skills to get a head start in school. By doing the lessons in this program your child will begin to read and write and do simple mathematics problems.

This kit includes: Proteus machine: allows your child to do much of the 3 Steps Ahead program on HIS OWN. He places each card from the program on the machine and presses his answer choice with the probe attached to Proteus which lights up when answer is correct and makes a space-age sound. Your child will enjoy the immediate response of the machine and will learn quickly because of the constant checking of his answers. REQUIRES 9v battery (not included). 4 tape cassettes: lesson 19, lesson 23, lesson 27 and lesson 31.

Proteus Card Sets: There are 20 cards in each set. The card sets are the basic teaching components of the lessons and are used in conjunction with the Proteus machine. There are 17 lesson sets, 4 reading booklets, 18 activity books and 1 My First Dictionary booklet (stamps missing). PARENT/TEACHER GUIDE IS MISSING but I believe it can be found on Internet.
