Color Matching / Quality Control Technician : Dorval

A plastic color compounding company located in Montreal, QC is looking to fill the position of:
Color Matching/Quality Control Technician
Reporting to the Technical Director, the person filling this post will be responsible for color matching and quality control
Key Responsibilities:
• Match colours and develop new formulations in a brand new lab with a new state of the art Spectrophotometer and Software;
• Support of Operations including; equipment set-up parameters and quality control;
• Sample preparation;
• Preparation of Product Data Sheets and MSDS`s;
Qualifications:
• 2 to 5 years of experience;
• University degree in Science or Engineering, or relevant experience;
• Bilingual;
• Knowledge of color science;
• Workable knowledge of plastic manufacturing techniques including; Extrusion (Twin and Single Screw) and Injection Moulding and Blown film would be an asset;
• High degree of computer literacy;
• Capable of working in a fast paced environment;
• Continually try to identify ways to improve efficiency and results;
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with associates;
• Accountability by completing assigned tasks on time with minimal follow-up.
• Fast track to a Lab Management position.
