Controller – Manufacturing Company

With a marketing presence of over a century, our client has established itself as a highly reputable manufacturer catering to Fortune 500 companies across the continent. There is now an immediate opening at their St-Laurent location for an experienced Assistant Controller looking for a phenomenal work environment, autonomy and growth opportunities.

In this role, you will report to the Director of Finance and take on the following duties:

-          Managing cash flow statements (daily), banking transactions and reconciliations

-          Preparing audit schedules and year-ends

-          Budgeting, forecasting, project costing

-          Managing general ledger accounts

-          Improving A/P, A/R and cost accounting processes as well as other financial policies

-          Financial statement ? month & annual

The position is full-time & permanent and offers a highly competitive compensation package comprising of: starting salary of $65,000 + 5% bonus + 5% RRSP contributions made by the company + full benefits .

In order to qualify for an interview, here are the absolute pre-requisites:

-          University degree in Accounting

-          Designation (either completed or near completion) ? CA, CGA, CPA

-          3+ years of a full-cycle accounting role with some experience within a manufacturing environment

-          Superior communication and analytical skills

-          Superior degree of autonomy and ability to replace the Director as required

-          Bilingualism (English / French) ? all financial & accounting information is in English
