Primary function will be to cost-effectively prepare regulatory-compliant MSDS/SDS documents for international customers who are increasingly outsourcing this function to the Atrion Regulatory Services Department. Effectively and efficiently author regulatory compliant MSDSs/SDSs for external customers for US, EU, CA and other countries. Search various reference sources and supplier MSDS for required information and apply techniques to reconcile discrepancies in the sources. Ensure the quality and regulatory compliance of MSDSs prepared by others on the Regulatory Services team. Assist in establishing the details of the MSDSs content to be delivered contractually. Assist Atrion with design of new features and enhancements to its software solutions Conduct training on Atrion`s authoring program for external customers. Provide related services like internal and external regulatory training, audits and procedures. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Fluent working knowledge of English (and French for the Montreal office; Dutch for the Nijmegen office); Fluency in other languages is an asset. However, for international business with our customers, we communicate in English. Experience with the use of Atrion Intelligent Authoring system for producing MSDSs is highly desirable. However, experience with other systems, such as SAP EH&S is also beneficial. Personal Characteristics Self starting / motivated Multi-tasking, expect competing deadlines for more than one contract to be common Reliable, will meet deadlines, take pride in work, attentive to detail Good team worker both internally and externally Good communication skills to report and resolve issues with team and customers Strong Regulatory technical analytical and trouble shooting skills Experience Pertinent experience, one to five years experience independently preparing and approving MSDS/SDS for US and/or EU with experience in GHS or regulatory formats of other countries highly desirable. It is expected that the regulatory requirements for classifications and other sections, such as transport and inventory status are understood. Candidates without such experience are not likely to qualify for a mid-level position. Education A university degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Toxicology, or Environmental Sciences. Masters preferred.
