Security Analyst

The SOC Security Analyst is a member of a team who proactively supports the monitoring of the client infrastructure for security incidents.

Security Monitoring & Incident Handling JUNIOR 0 to 2 YEARS
Documentation (Incident Reports) JUNIOR 0 to 2 YEARS

Completion of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in IT Security or Computer Sciences from a recognized community college or University.
OR
- Minimum of four (2) years of directly related practical experience within the last eight years, and demonstrated ability to carry out the functions of the job.

Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with three or more of the following:
- Intrusion Detection or Prevention Systems (Dragon, Cisco, Juniper, ISS);
- Linux or UNIX: AIX and SunOS administration experience;
- Internet Connectivity and Protocols (TCP/IP stack, VPN);
- Enterprise Security Management systems (ArcSight);
- System log forensics (Syslog, Event Viewer);
- Remedy IT Service Management; and
- System Integrity Verification (SIV) systems (Tripwire).

Secret Clearance:
- Secret must be obtained, however an initial Reliability Status to start work in the SOC (can be obtained upon hiring).

Assets:
- ITIL, GCIA, CCNA, CISSP certifications are strong assets;
- Strong troubleshooting, reasoning and problem solving skills;
- Team player, excellent communication skills, good time management;
- Organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously.

This position requires shift work in a 365/7/24 environment.
