Part-Time QA Tester : Montreal

Job Summary

Income Access (a subsidiary of Ecom Access) is looking for a highly motivated, effective and talented Part-Time QA Tester with an interest in working on challenging projects in a fast paced environment. The QA Tester is responsible for the testing of new product features to ensure that they meet our quality standards and meet the requirements laid out in the pre-development stage.

The successful candidate will work with the Quality Assurance department to ensure that issues are found before they are introduced into the product code.

The ideal candidate has a passion for testing and finding problems, errors, and items that are not meeting company standards. He/she should have strong opinions and not be afraid to voice them when actions are threatening the integrity and security of the products.
Position Specific Responsibilities

• Execution of test scripts and raising issues found to the QA Manager
• Retest and confirm issues reported back as solved
• Problem-solve issues during testing based on knowledge of the systems involved

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Keen eye for detail
• Self motivated and keen to demonstrate initiative
• Comfortable learning new software and working in a technical environment
• Quickly adaptable to new web-based technologies and concepts
• Exceptional knowledge of the internet
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an interest in web-based technology
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
• Attention to detail, analytical and strong organizational skills
• Must possess a strong and dedicated work ethic
• Eager and willing to overcome challenges
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and fun environment
• Basic knowledge and understanding of HTML
• Able to grasp complex logical structures.
• Troubleshooting ability

Experience/Education
________________________________________

• 1 to 2 years experience in a web based environment
• Experience with Test Suit reporting tools (QA Complete or similar)
• University/College background or applicable working experience
