Participants Needed For Brain Imaging Study
Researchers in McGill University`s Department of Psychiatry and Douglas Hospital are conducting a brain imaging study to assess baseline brain functions using functional neuroimaging. Participants will follow magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET) scans and a complete memory test. Principal investigators: Pedro Rosa Neto, MD, PhD (Douglas Research Centre, McGill University) and Amir Shmuel, PhD (Montreal Neurological Institute). We invite the voluntary participation of healthy adults (males and females), between 30-50 years of age, with no past or present history of neurological problems, and no contraindications for: · MRI (pacemaker,aneurysm clip, heart/vascular clip, prosthetic valve, metal prosthesis, pregnancy, claustrophobia, metal fragments) · PET (pregnancy or breast feeding, previous radiation absorbed doses received within the past 12 months that would lead, with inclusion of this study, to an aggregate radiation absorbed dose exceeding10mSv). Test: multiple sessions of in total 5 hours at the Brain Imaging Centre of the Montreal Neurological Institute, including memory test, MRI and PET. You will be compensated for your time and inconvenience.
