Patternmaker : Montreal

Our client, a company with offices all over the world, providing Licensed and non-Licensed apparel to its customers as well as various types of apparel to international retailers is looking for an experienced Patternmaker to develop new patterns & prototypes for customers and for the internal collection.

Calculate fabric standard, based on existing or new fabrics
Build patterns
Lead the prototype developments including sewing
Develop the best process to produce the prototype with the engineer
Work with technician on all patterns and specifications
Preparing size-set grading as per customer requirements
Collaborate with the production team to solve production issues
Work with team to prioritize developments
Collaborate with designers on collection developments, by developing patterns for the collection
Transcribe all information to the Tech Design (Development Form)
Transcribe all sewing information for costing
Complete the sample form and prepare all production files
Travel to customers to attend technical meetings

Must have a good understanding of how to produce garments with high efficiency and low waste
Have an understanding & experience in Seamless or Cut &Sew garments
Garment construction & sewing knowhow
Knowledge of Lectra Patternmaking software
Must be available for travel
Must be able to work with a team
