QC Inspector/Analyst : Montreal, QC

Reports to: QA Manager

The position
The incumbent will report to QA manager, and have a critical role in quality control testing, acceptance, handling, tracking and data management of custom and critical manufactured components. Responsibilities will also include analysis, problem determination and resolution, as well as various QC or QA responsibilities.

- Incoming inspection and RMA inspection:
- Perform quality control testing on critical and custom parts.
- Perform analysis and trouble-shooting of product and component non-conformances.
- Perform information entry, management through ACCPAC and reporting related to incoming critical and custom parts, ensuring accurate data management and information traceability.
- Manage RMA, perform root cause analysis, organize MRB and component disposition.
- Work with manufacturing, ensuring that custom and critical parts are received expeditiously.
- Work closely with standards and specifications to optimize product testing.

- Management of Non Conforming components/products and internal/external corrective actions:
- Generates CAR and follow-up to ensure closing in a timely manner:
- Perform NC production investigation, execute component disposition, and return to vendor.
- Follow-up with supplier Corrective Action Requests.

- Develop QC and other reports as needed to evaluate supplier performance.
- Assist the quality manager in the management of the quality compliance issues; planning and execution of future Quality initiatives including WI development.
- Perform verification/validation of hardware or other related testing to support components/products testing; work in collaboration with other departments within the scope of these projects.

- Technical degree in Mechanical or Medical device Engineering or other related scientific field.
- Two year of industry experience in electronic or mechanical testing, a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
- Demonstrated facility in writing work instructions and reports.
- Detail oriented, analytical and has excellent problem solving abilities.
- Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Suite.
- Must demonstrate ability to work within a strong team setting, with a minimum of supervision.
- Can work efficiently under tight time-lines and handling multiple tasks.

Assets:
- Previous experience with ERP systems and material management.
- Background working in an ISO environment or experience in QC/QA.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Individuals without specific testing expertise of equipment/system will not be considered.
